  • for the rolls:
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup pureed pumpkin
  • 1/3 cup lukewarm water
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 oz dry yeast
  • 2 eggs, at room temperature
  • for the filling:
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons butter, creamed
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Chinese 5 spice powder*
