- 1 cup pureed pumpkin
- 1/3 cup lukewarm water
- 1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 oz dry yeast
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- for the filling:
- 4 to 5 tablespoons butter, creamed
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons Chinese 5 spice powder*
