Apple Pie

- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 4 apples (cut into thin slices)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1.5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- For top crust:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter (melted)
- 1 egg
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Slice apples. Mix in a bowl with lemon juice and vanilla. Combine with sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Prebake pie crust for 10 minutes in oven. Then fill crust with apple mixture. Separately, mix top crust ingredients and then spread evenly over the top of the pie.
Bake for 20 minutes at 450 degrees. Then turn down heat to 375 and bake until the top is golden brown.
